Accra, March 31, GNA- The Krispol City Jama’at of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission has presented assorted items to Muslim inmates of the Awutu Camp Prison in the Central Region.

The items are bags of rice and beans, cooking oil, and other assorted drinks.

The donation was to support the inmates in breaking their fast and onwards celebrations of the Eid.

Eid-ul -Fitr is a celebration by Muslims worldwide because it marks the end of the month-long dawn to dusk fasting of Ramadan.

Muallim Jamaludeen Kwaku Donkoh, the Kasoa North Circuit Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, said there was the need to uphold the virtues of fasting even after the month of Ramadan.

He emphasised the spiritual, moral, and physical benefits of the fast, urging them to embrace self-discipline, patience, and devotion to God.

Muallim Donkoh said the fasting period they just went through was to strengthen their faith and for them to rebuild their lives.

He expressed the hope that the inmates used the Ramadan month to seek forgiveness and worked towards their moral and spiritual improvement.

He reassured the inmates that God’s mercy was boundless and that sincere repentance could pave the way for a better future for them.
