Bolgatanga, April 22, GNA – The International Presbytery (IP) of Fountain Gate Chapel (FGC) at Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital, has been inducted into office to serve a four-year term.
The induction ceremony which was held at the Desert Pastures of the Church, at the end of its weeklong programme dubbed “Bethesda 2025,” was attended by Reverend Eastwood Anaba, the Founder of the FGC and his wife, Reverend Mrs Rosemond Anaba as well as members within and outside the country.
The newly inducted IP included; Apostle Daniel Asiedu, as Chairman, Reverend Emmanuel Forson, Vice Chairman, and Reverend Dr Sylvester Agalga, the International Coordinator.
The other members were: Reverend Mrs Akweley Laryea, Reverend Alex Fredua-Agyemang, Reverend John Akye, Reverend Professor Christopher Saaha Bornaa and Reverend John Kennedy Akita.
The rest were: Reverend Isaac Mensah, Reverend Anthony Felix Baffoe, Prophet Godfred Kyeremeh, Prophet Felix Agbodeka and Reverend Johnny Tibu Darko.
Reverend Clement Anchebah, the Head Pastor of Gate Pastures, a branch of FGC at Ofankor, Accra, who inducted the Chairman into office, prayed for wisdom, understanding, favour and God’s grace upon him and the team to move the church to higher levels within their four-year mandate.
In his induction address, Apostle Asiedu, who was re-elected for the second time, thanked the church for the confidence reposed in him to serve another term as Chairman, saying “It is both humbling as it is invigorating”.
He appreciated the outgone IP for the dedication, commitment and hard work during the last tenure, and recalled that under his leadership, the outgone Presbytery introduced a strategic plan with terms and conditions of service for the church.
“Some policy documents to enable the implementation of the strategic plan have also been drafted awaiting adoption. I want to thank the Ministerial Council and all our Pastors for their cooperation throughout the tenure of the past International Presbytery,” he said.
Apostle Asiedu, the Managing Director of the OmniBSIC Bank Ghana Limited, said the newly inducted IP would implement policies designed to enable the implementation of the strategic plan.
“In order to succeed at this, we will require the total commitment of all Pastors and the leadership of our churches worldwide. The systems and structures that would be instituted must be adhered to religiously, so that we can track and be able to evaluate our progress as we go along.
“We count on your support for this IP, as you always have done, and your compliance with any directive that emanates to you,” the Chairman said.
He expressed gratitude to the Senior Pastorate, the Founder and his wife, as well as the entire Pastoral body of the church for their support during his first tenure as the Chairman, saying it was their wisdom and counsel were invaluable to me and the entire Presbytery.
Apostle Asiedu also entreated all members of the congregations to keep the new leadership in their prayers.
