Interior Minister visits ministry’s agencies in Kumasi

Kumasi, April 7, GNA – Mr Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Interior Minister, has visited all agencies under his Ministry in Kumasi to strengthen peace and security in the Ashanti Region.

The move is part of a broader stakeholder engagement to foster national unity and ensure the well-being of Ghanaians, a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency said on Monday.

The Minister’s visit aims to provide him with firsthand information on the operations of the agencies, share his plans with them and encourage them to work hard to maintain peace and security in the country.

Mr Mohammed-Mubarak reaffirmed his dedication to maintaining peace and security across Ghana.

He pledged to work closely with the agencies to ensure crime did not go unchecked and to support security services in upholding law and order, safeguarding lives, and protecting property.

The Minister assured them of his commitment to addressing their concerns and challenges to enable them to perform their duties effectively.

The agencies commended the Minister for the visit, commitment and plans for their effective functioning, pledging their commitment to supporting him to achieve his objectives.

The agencies visited were the Police, Prisons, Fire and Immigration services, the Narcotics Control Commission, National Disaster Management Organisation, National Peace Council, Gaming Commission of Ghana, and National Identification Authority.
