Adaklu Waya (V/R), April 09, GNA – Mr. Jerry Ameko, Adaklu District Chief Executive Tuesday emphasised that he is committed to teamwork and transparent governance.
He, therefore, called for support from key stakeholders including Assembly Members, traditional authorities, religious leaders, civil society organisations and youth groups to make his resolve a reality.
Mr. Ameko made the call when he met the management and staff of the Adaklu District Assembly and Decentralized Departments as part of his familiarisation tour of departments and institutions in the district.
He commended the workers for accepting postings to the district, which is perceived as deprived, and their efforts.
The DCE encouraged them to be focused on delivering quality service to the people of Adaklu.
At the District Education Directorate, Mr. Ameko acknowledged the critical role of education in the development of the district.
He assured the staff of his readiness to support initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes and addressing challenges facing schools in the area.
“Adaklu was once the overall best district in the Basic Education Certificate Examination, yes we can still do it if we put workable measures in place and if all stakeholders lend their full support,” he emphasized.
The DCE reiterated his vision to build a united, thriving and progressive Adaklu adding “I am committed to working hand in hand with all stakeholders, from education, health, security to administration to build the Adaklu that we all want.”
In his interaction with the staff of the District Health Directorate, he assured them of his support in expanding and strengthening healthcare delivery in the district.
Other places visited by the DCE included the Fire Service, National Ambulance Service, Police Service, the National Disaster Management Organization, and National Identification Authority.
He commended the institutions for their dedication to public service and pledged his support for their capacity building and providing them with logistics to help enhance their operations.
Mr. Ameko assured the police personnel in the district that he would collaborate closely with them to ensure peace and safety of the people in the district.
Mr. Sylvanus Plaha, the Adaklu District Coordinating Director, on behalf of the workers congratulated Mr. Ameko on his nomination and endorsement as the DCE for the area and assured him of their preparedness to work in tandem with his vision.
