GPL Week 27: Bechem holds Kotoko; Hearts of Oak share points with Vision FC

Accra, April 14, GNA – The 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season is nearing its conclusion, with several clubs facing off in week 27.

Bibiani Gold Stars moved joint top on standings after defeating Young Apostle 1-0 at Duns Park.

With the win, Gold Stars now have 47 points, even with Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Asante Kotoko were unable to expand their lead at the top after dropping points at home to Bechem United.

Albert Amoah scored a late second-half penalty that cancelled out Darlvin Yeboah’s strike as points were shared at the end of 90 minutes at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Medeama SC were the biggest winners of the week as they hammered Dreams FC 4-0 at the TNA Stadium.

Kingsley Braye scored a hat-trick while David Boison’s late strike ensured an emphatic victory for the ‘Mauve and Yellow’ Boys.

Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a 1-1 scoreline by Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex.

Kelvin Osei Asibey opened the scoring for the Phobians in the 38th minute, but a brilliant strike from Meshack Adjetey ensured that points were shared.

Karela United had a major boost to their survival hopes after defeating Aduana Stars 2-0 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.

Adamu Alhassan bagged a brace for the Northern giants as they secured all three points to send them five points clear of the drop zone.
