Dambai (O/R), April 4, GNA- Former Krachi East District GNAT Treasurer, Madam Jennifer Adwoa Dankwah, has announced her candidacy for the chairperson position at the upcoming Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) District Delegates Conference in May.
With her extensive experience as treasurer, Madam Dankwah has developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing teachers in the district and is well-equipped to provide the necessary leadership.
Madam Dankwah’s decision to contest the chairperson position has been welcomed by many teachers in the district, including Mr. Francis Gesaloge Boyesah Okoro, a headteacher at Dambai Lakeside Basic Primary school and a member of GNAT.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Mr Boyesah said Madam Dankwah was a viable alternative to the current leadership and expressed his support for her candidature.
Another teacher at Dambai, Mr. Eric Gidisu, has also pleged his support behind Madam Dankwah, urging members to vote for her.
The GNAT District Delegates Conference in May is expected to be a highly contested event, with several other candidates vying for the chairperson position.
Madam Dankwah’s experience and dedication to the welfare of teachers are expected to give her an edge over her opponents.
As the conference approaches, all eyes will be on Madam Dankwah and her fellow contestants as they vie for the top spot.
