Effutu Muslim Community holds special prayer section to round off Ramadan Activities

Winneba, April 4, GNA – Thousands of Islam worshippers in Effutu Municipality led by Alhaji Mohammed Monsuri Issah, the Chief Imam, on Thursday, held a special prayer session at their annual prayer ground at Wonsum a community in Winneba, to round off their activities of the sacred month of fasting, prayers and spiritual reflection.

They also used the occasion to thank the Almighty Allah for giving them the strength to observe the Eid ul-Fitr festival without any hindrances and for Allah to continue to pour his blessings on them and the entire people of Ghana.

They further offered prayers for President John Dramani Mahama, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman the Vice President, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament and Ministers of State for Allah’s protection, strength, wisdom and direction to execute their duties to make the country prosperous.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency after the prayers, Alhaji Monsuri Issah thanked Allah for for the journey so far and expressed their gratitude for successful fasting and devotion.

He stated that Eid ul-Fitr was a unique festival in the life of every lslam worshiper and it was a festival of joy, gratitude and unity, providing the opportunity for the less privileged and foster relationship with their loved ones as they socialised.

” Let us all constantly reflect on the principles of the fasting to continue to enjoy its benefits,” he added.

“The youth must remember in all their endeavours that the religion is of peace, and they must be bold to say no to acts which could tarnish the image of Islam,” Alhaji Issah, stated.
