Accra, April 19, GNA – Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, says Easter serves as a powerful reminder of the virtues of sacrifice, forgiveness, compassion, and the triumph of hope over despair.
The Ministry, he said, acknowledged the significance of Easter in the lives of millions of Ghanaians and the role of faith-based institutions in promoting peace, social harmony, and national development.
A statement made available to the Ghana News Agency said: “As we observe this holy period, the Ministry encourages all citizens to reflect deeply on the enduring values of unity, love, and service to humanity, which are at the heart of the Easter celebrations.”
“Let us use this opportunity to renew our collective commitment to building resilient, inclusive, and peaceful communities across the country.”
It called on all celebrants to mark the occasion in safety, moderation, and respect for one another.
“We wish the entire Christian community, both home and abroad, a peaceful, joyful, and meaningful Easter,” the statement said.
