Kumasi, April 10, GNA – Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, a former Minister for Education is the latest to support victims of the Adum Blue Light fire disaster, which consumed investments of traders running into millions of Ghana Cedis.
Victims of the inferno have received various forms of support from the government and other well-meaning Ghanaians since March 21, when they lost virtually all their investments.
The former Education Minister took his turn on Thursday, April 10 to show love to the hundreds of traders as they make strenuous efforts to pick up the pieces following the most devastating fire disaster in the recent history of Kumasi.
He donated an amount of GHC 100,000.00 and 200 bags of cement to the leadership of the traders after being taken round the fire scene, to witness the level of devastation at first hand.
Dr Adutwum sympathised with the victims and encouraged them to pick up the pieces as breadwinners of their families.
He said he could not turn his back on the very people whose unwavering support he had earlier enjoyed as Education Minister.
He said it was his hope that the little support would be of help as they rebuild their shops.
