Nkroful (W/R), April 07, GNA – Mr Joseph Agyekum, the Ellembelle National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary, has shown deep appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama, the party hierarchy and the people of area for his nomination as the District Chief Executive (DCE).
“On behalf of the NDC Constituency Executives, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama for the trust and confidence reposed in me as the DCE nominee, to serve the people of Ellembelle”.
He also extended his sincere thanks to the leadership of the NDC from National and Regional to Branch Executives, for their unwavering guidance and encouragement throughout the journey.
“My sincere thanks go to all stakeholders including our traditional leaders, party supporters, Assembly Members, political actors and the vibrant youth of Ellembelle”.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by Mr Agyekum, copied to the Ghana News Agency at Nkroful in the Western Region.
He said even as he embarked on his new phase of his political journey, “I am minded by the weight of expectation the people of Ellembelle and H.E. President John Mahama have in me and I do not take the confidence reposed in me for granted”.
“Together, we can foster an environment of peace, unity and development that will benefit every citizen in our District”.
The statement spelt out the vision of the DCE nominee to collaborate with everybody to address the challenges facing the district and harness the awaited opportunities.
It said by working hand in hand, they could build a prosperous future for Ellembelle, ensuring that every voice was heard, and every need met.
Expressing his sentiments for the new office, the DCE nominee said, he was excited but cautious about the journey ahead and committed to serving with due diligence, dedication and integrity.
The DCE nominee categorically stated that he would not fail the people of Ellembelle but would work hard towards achieving growth in the area.
