Tamale, April 21, GNA – Very Reverend Father Hilary Pogbeyir, Parish Priest at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Tamale has advised Catholics to use the resurrection of Jesus Christ to renew their faith and reaffirm their commitment to Christ and the Church.
He said Easter Mass held immense importance for Catholics as it was the central celebration of the Christian faith commemorating Jesus’ resurrection from the dead and his victory over sin and death.
Very Reverend Father Pogbeyir gave the advice during the Easter Sunday mass service at the church in Tamale.
He said the Mass marked the culmination of the liturgical season of Lent and signified the hope of eternal life for all believers and a joyous occasion, a time for reflection and celebration of God’s love and grace.
He said Jesus’ victory over sin and death offered believers hope for a life beyond the grave and a future filled with God’s love.
Very Reverend Pogbeyir said the feast was to remind believers that light always triumphed over darkness and that life could emerge from death.
The Eucharist celebrated during Easter Mass allowed Catholics to partake in the risen life of Christ to strengthen their faith and relationship with God.
