Ayakomaso, (Bono), April 20, GNA – Dr William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Christian Ministry (DLCM) at the weekend said the ‘resurrection of Christ’ ought to regenerate and transform the lives of all professing Christians.

“The resurrection of Christ brings redemption and righteousness into the lives of those who believe and that brings hope of glorious eternity and comfort,” he stated.

“We cannot serve or live in sin and profess that we are Christians. That is a total deception from the pit of hell,” he stated.

Dr Kumuyi said life without holiness and righteousness obtained through faith in Jesus Christ were affront to true Christianity, saying “His resurrection regenerates and empower us live sinless life here on earth.”

“If there is no righteousness there is no salvation and salvation should bring regeneration for us to live a sin-free life,” Dr Kumuyi stated.

The renowned tele-evangelist and teacher of the gospel was preaching a sermon via satellite at the Easter Retreat of the Bono Regional Division of the Deeper Life Bible Church, underway at Deeper Life Retreat Grounds at Ayakomaso in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region.

Hundreds of members of the church drawn from the various locations including Abesim, Nsoatre, Chiraa, Fiapre, Chiraa, Yamfo, Techire, Adrobaa, Susunaso, Sunyani and others are attending the five-day retreat.

It is on the theme “Experiencing the power of His resurrection” and coincided with  with the Global Crusade Kumuyi (GCK), a monthly evangelical campaign, an initiative of Dr Kumuyi.

Dr Kumuyi indicated that the of Christ had made Christians passed from death to life and a renewed mind as well, providing hope of a glorious eternity and comfort.

“Therefore, the  realisation, reality and revelation of His resurrection must influence our thoughts, desires, ambitions and affection as we journey through this life” he stated.

Dr Kumuyi said after experiencing the power of the resurrection of Christ, genuine Christians set their affection on the things above, not on earthly pleasures.
