Central Tongu DCE urges Assembly Members to rally behind his nomination

Adidome (V/R), April 03, GNA – Mr. Addison Dodzi Mornyuie, the Chief Executive nominee of Central Tongu District, has called on Assembly Members to endorse his nomination, scheduled for confirmation on April 08, 2025.  

He emphasised that his confirmation would pave the way for the implementation of rigorous development initiatives in the district. 

Mr. Mornyuie expressed his commitment to prioritising the district’s growth, focusing on key sectors such as agriculture, health, and education.  

He pledged to collaborate with investors to boost socioeconomic activities and promote collective governance, encouraging indigenes to engage with him to work together. 

The DCE nominee also vowed to work closely with Mr. Alexander Roosevelt Hotordze, the Member of Parliament for Central Tongu Constituency, to advance the district’s developmental agenda.  

He plans to also collaborate with Assembly Members in various electoral areas to identify and address challenges, promoting growth in every enclave. 

Mr. Mornyuie assured the Assembly Members that his administration would be transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the people.  

He also pledged to promote peace, unity, and stability in the district, ensuring that every citizen has access to equal opportunities. 

As part of his development agenda, Mr. Mornyuie plans to focus on improving infrastructure, including roads, schools, and healthcare facilities. He also aims to promote agriculture and entrepreneurship, providing support to farmers and small business owners to boost the local economy. 

The DCE nominee has also promised to prioritize the welfare of the youth, women, and vulnerable groups, ensuring that they have access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. 

The nominee lauded President John Dramani Mahama for his appointment, considering it an opportunity to serve the people of Central Tongu. He expressed his gratitude to the President and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the trust reposed in him. 

“Mornyuie’s confirmation would bring a new wave of development to the Central Tongu District,” some residents said, as they believe that his commitment to working with stakeholders would trigger developmental growth. 

Some residents also urged the Assembly Members to rally behind Mr Mornyuie’s nomination, assuring them that he will work tirelessly to promote the development of the district.
