Kadjebi (O/R), April 13, GNA – Congregants of the Blessed Heart of Mary  Parish of the Roman Catholic (R.C) Church in Kadjebi in the Oti Region, observed Palm Sunday, with a procession through the principal streets of Kadjebi.

Reverend Father Anselmous Mawusi, the Parish Priest of the Blessed Heart of Mary R. C Church, Kadjebi, in a sermon said that Palm Sunday marked Jesus’s last triumphant journey to Jerusalem.

Rev. Fr. Mawusi said the Day also known as Passion Sunday, was a rich observance in the Christian liturgical calendar, emphasizing themes of celebration, prophecy, and humility of Jesus as he approached the culmination of his earthly ministry.

He thanked God for His mercies on the congregation in 2024 and also asked Him to fulfill the congregant’s plans and thoughts.

Rev. Fr. Mawusi urged the congregants to reflect on their commitment and discipleship as it served as a reminder of the fickleness of popular opinion and the importance of staying true to one’s faith.

The Catholic Priest asked the congregants to reflect on Jesus’s triumphant journey to Jerusalem as it served to deepen faith, cultivate communal worship, and prepared their hearts for the significant events of Holy week.

He also advised them not to think only  of themselves but consider others so that they could have a serene environment in which to live and do away with sins.
