Kumasi, April 17, GNA – St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kumasi-Tanoso came alive with spirit-filled music and heartfelt worship as Catholic Voices GH hosted the fourth edition of their Lent to Easter Choral Concert.
Dubbed, “Lent to Easter Concert 4”, the event marked a milestone as the group’s first ever performance in Kumasi and was met with excitement, gratitude, and deep reflection.
The concert brought together some of the finest choral groups in the Ashanti Region, including Blessed Chorale GH, Glorious Symphony Ghana, Luminous Choral GH, and the host choir, Catholic Voices GH.
These groups delivered a rich variety of musical genres, ranging from sacred hymns and chants to classical anthems and lively highlife tunes, offering a unique blend of tradition and cultural celebration.
Each performance captivated the audience, creating an atmosphere of reverence and joy.
The host choir, Catholic Voices GH, delivered a particularly memorable performance that earned admiration from attendees for its energy and musical precision.
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Effah Adjei, Parish Priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church, reminded the congregation of the spiritual essence of the Easter season.
He called on Christians to reflect deeply on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which he described as the very foundation of the Christian faith.
Mr. Joseph Owusu-Addo, Executive Director of Catholic Voices GH, expressed immense joy following the successful event.
He encouraged choirs across the nation to view choral concerts not just as performances, but as powerful instruments of evangelism.
“Through music, we can spread the message of Christ to every corner of Ghana,” he emphasised, hinting at plans for similar concerts in other regions.
The event drew a wide audience, including the clergy, parishioners, and music enthusiasts, all united by a common purpose: to celebrate their faith through music.
As the concert concluded, a palpable sense of unity, worship, and inspiration lingered, reminding everyone of the hope and joy that Easter brings.
With its blend of spiritual depth and musical excellence, the Lent to Easter Choral Concert 4 left an indelible mark on Kumasi-Tanoso, promising even greater moments of praise in the future.
