Jasikan (O/R), April 18, GNA- A delegation of Queenmothers from Buem State has paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Kofi Adams, Member of Parliament(MP) for Buem Constituency and Minister for Sports and Recreation.
The visit aimed to congratulate him on his re-election, and ministerial appointment while advocating for initiatives to empower women in the Buem Traditional Area.
The Queenmothers encouraged Mr. Adams to champion programmes targeting women’s and youth empowerment, highlighting the transformative impact on local communities.
The delegation expressed unwavering support for the MP and called for increased focus on women’s welfare and advancement in the constituency.
The queenmothers presented a citation honouring Mr. Adam for his commitment to development and leadership.
The delegation included Nana Appewbea III, Chairperson; Nana Okrebea, President; Nana Abulati Boasuma I, Vice President, Nana Boatemaa III, Treasurer; and Mrs. Patience Smile Daves, Executive Secretary.
Mr. Adams expressed gratitude for the visit and support.
In addition, he pledged to translate the queenmothers’ proposals into actionable programs and called for their continual prayers and collaboration to drive sustainable development in Buem.
The meeting highlighted the essential role of traditional authorities in governance and community advancement, with both sides committing to work together to achieve shared goals for progress and empowerment.
