Sege, April 09, GNA – Bills Reading Clinic, a non-governmental organisation, has held the second edition of its annual Kids Funfair at Sege in the Ada West District, bringing happiness, learning, and excitement to thousands of children in the area.
The event aimed to promote the culture of reading among children while combining learning with fun activities such as robotics, coding, bouncy castles, and more.
Mr Habil Clinton Boye, the Chief Executive Officer of Bills Reading Clinic, explained that the kids funfair’s objective was to entertain children and spark their interest in reading and creative learning.
Mr Boye said it was part of the organisation’s wider mission to build a solid reading foundation for children, especially in rural areas, adding that they believe every child, no matter where they come from, deserves access to books, learning tools, and the joy of reading.
He further noted that although the event targets children aged 18 and below, everyone was welcome to participate, especially in activities like robotics, reading, and coding.
He revealed that the clinic plans to expand the programme to more communities across the Greater Accra Region and beyond and called on stakeholders to support the mission of nurturing future leaders through reading.

Mr Boye commended the Ghana National Library Authority, Ghana Education Service, Ghana Police, Ghana Health Service, Invo-tech STEM, Edu Brand, Schema Architecture, and others for supporting the project.
He emphasised that there was a need for more books and financial support to enable them to engage students further in robotics and to prepare them to produce their own mobile phones and other technological items in the future.
The participating children had sessions such as storytelling, reading competitions, spelling bees, games, face painting, and cultural performances and benefitted from educational materials and souvenirs.
Parents and educators at the event lauded the initiative, recognising its positive impact on early childhood development and community bonding.
