Be sincere in your actions-Ahmadiyya leader calls on Muslims

Accra, April 1, GNA- Alhaji Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Ghana, has called on Muslims to be sincere in the discharge of their duties to one another.

He said, “If we must make progress and achieve success, it is necessary for us to recognise the fact that sincerity serves as a foundation for discipline.”

Alhaji Salih said this on Monday in a sermon to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr in Accra at Ashongman.

He said the one-month fasting should encourage Muslims to learn the moral values of sincerity and discipline.

Sincerity and discipline, he stressed, were the bedrock of every success that Quoran admonished: “Keep fasting so that through fasting you may become righteous.”

The Ahmadiyya leader said it was when people were sincere about their intentions that they were more likely to remain disciplined.

He said in most religious traditions, discipline was viewed as a vital component of spiritual growth and adherence to faith.

“Discipline often involves the ability to resist temptations and sinful behaviours and, instead, align oneself with divine teachings,” he said.

From a moral standpoint, he said discipline was often associated with ethical behaviour and personal integrity.

“Discipline in its patriotic context is often linked to civic responsibility and dedication to one’s country, which includes service and sacrifice,” he said.
