Accra, April.24, GNA – Ayisha Aminu, an inmate of Safe-Child Advocacy and beneficiary of Captain One Kids Project, has won the Latex Foam 46th Masters championship with a total score of 142 points.
The two-day event took place at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
Aminu managed to finish the first round of the tournament with 76 points before closing the final round with an impressive 66 points.
She overpowered Vivian Dick who emerged second with an eight-point interval to crown the tournament.
The Golfer speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports said her success at the tournament was a testament of the hard work she put in her career.
“My coach has been a pillar in my career. He has really helped me in my journey and I am proud to reach this height as a result of the motivation he has been giving me.”
She thanked organizers of the event for the time and resources invested in making the competition a success.
She also thanked Captain One Golf Society for the opportunity to discover her talent and called on corporate Ghana to support the initiative to give others like her the platform to showcase their talents.
Ayishatu Aminu has been a dominant force over the past few years, winning major tournaments across Ghana.
She had previously been adjudged by SWAG as the 2024 Discovery of the Year and winner of the 2024 Latex Foam May Day Medal, third Captain One golf society championship, among other tournaments.
