Tema, April 10, GNA – Mr. Godsway Dzene, the assemblyman of Ashiboi Electoral Area, Tema Community One, has launched free weekend classes for candidates preparing to sit for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The initiative, which takes place every Saturday and Sunday at Twedaase Primary School, is aimed at providing additional academic support to final-year junior high school pupils as they prepare for the crucial national examination.

The classes cover subjects such as Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Information Communication Technology (ICT), and Moral Education.

Mr. Dzene told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that the motivation behind the initiative was to contribute meaningfully to the education and future of young people in the area.

“I want to see the community excel, so investing in their education will go a long way to help the community, and I want the students to come out with flying colours,” he said.

He explained that education was a powerful tool for development, and it was important that all stakeholders play their part to support students, especially those from low-income families who might not have access to extra classes.

He urged all BECE candidates within the area to take advantage of the opportunity and attend the classes regularly, adding that consistent participation would go a long way to strengthening their understanding of the subjects and boosting their confidence ahead of the examination.

Mr. Dzene said the initiative would continue until the examination period and expressed hope that the gesture would yield positive results.
