Kumasi, April 16, GNA – The Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi became the hub of innovation and learning as patrons of the ongoing Ashantifest thronged the venue for the education fair, a key highlight of the two-week celebration.
The fair showcased outstanding displays of academic ingenuity, technological innovation and artistic expression by students from various basic and senior high schools in the region.
The exhibitions included science projects, robotics demonstrations, cultural presentations, as well as other innovative ideas, reflecting the immense potential of the Ghanaian youth.
Stakeholders in education, including educationists, parents, teachers and students, expressed admiration for the level of creativity and brilliance on display.
Most of the patrons described the event as not only inspiring but also a necessary platform to nurture and promote youth talent.
The inclusion of the education fair in the Ashantifest celebration emphasises the importance of integrating education into culture – a significant step towards promoting intellect and cultural heritage.

The maiden edition of Ashantifest seeks to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Ashanti Region, while projecting its potential in education, health, tourism, entrepreneurship, and sports.
Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, commended students and schools for showcasing brilliance and creativity beyond the expectations of many patrons.
He said they had justified why Ghana must invest in technology-driven education which the government was committed to pursuing at all levels of the educational system.
He encouraged the students to embrace peer learning by sharing ideas and reviewing each other’s work to build on collective knowledge for the benefit of the nation.
The Regional Minister pledged to support the participating schools and urged the students to keep pushing the boundaries of learning for a brighter future.
The future, he said, looked promising with such young minds leading the way.
