Accra, April 04, GNA – Music superstar Black Sherif has released a contemplative and self-introspective album, establishing his status as a true Ghanaian musical jewel.
The 15-track spiritual music piece titled “Iron Boy” highlights Black Sherif’s exceptional pen game while he talks about the ups and downs of his personal life.
Following the success of his debut album, “The Villain I Never Was,” Black Sherif’s current sophomore album confirms his universal appeal after dropping a collection of sober songs.
One thing is certain: the album provides listeners with solutions to their innermost problems, whether they are emotional, psychological, or financial in nature.
Black Sherif, in a social media post a few months ago, said this about the album, “The art I made to address my darkness gave me a job. And then the job made me see the light and took my sleep away. IRONBOY.”
The album opens with “Victory Song”, a self-inspective piece where Black Sherif shares his musical journey from a normal street boy to making waves locally and internationally.
The song creates a calm and delicate tone for the album and may send shivers down listeners’ spines due to its emotional content.
Black Sherif ups the tempo with “One” as he exposes deeper thoughts about his challenges before dazzling on “So It Goes” with Fireboy DML.
The “So It Goes” song released a few months ago has already made waves and topped charts on numerous streaming platforms, making it one of the best songs of the year.
From there, songs like “Top of the Morning”, “Body” and “Sacrifice” certainly carry themes of hope, giving music listeners some form of inspiration.
The seventh track, “Soma Obi”, would certainly be a household hit as Black Sherif dazzles on the track, which has a feel of Highlife music.
Further on the album are songs like “Dreamer”, “Where Dem Boyz”, and “Rebel Music”, as Black Sherif offers some ruthless songwriting skills which will certainly be appreciated by music enthusiasts.
The “Sin City” song, which is the second collaboration on the album featuring Seyi Vibes, is another well-written depth which has some emotional grounding and appreciates the goodness of his hustle.
Black Sherif closes the album with songs like “Eye Open”, “Changes” and the hit song “January 9th”, which was released last year.
