Damongo (S/R), March 07, GNA – Mr Salisu Bi-Awuribe, Savannah Regional Minister has urged Ghanaian citizens to embark on a journey of introspection emphasising the need to “reflect, review, and reset” their approach to progress and development.
He emphasised the importance of examining past events, analysing their impact, and making conscious decisions to adapt and improve.
He was speaking during the 68th Independence Day celebrations at Damongo in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
Ten schools, made up of five primary and five junior high schools, participated in the march past, which also featured cadets from Damongo Senior High School and Ndewura Japka Senior High and Technical School, who showcased their skills in series of impressive drills.
The occasion brought together traditional authorities, the clergy, heads of institutions, and political party executives.
Mr Bi-Awuribe encouraged citizens to reflect on their behaviours, cultural practices, and governance systems with the goal of aligning them with the country’s broader development goals.
He urged students and pupils to find inspiration in his own journey as Regional Minister as well as that of the President of the Republic of Ghana, both of who were born and raised in the Savannah Region and had risen to prominence through perseverance and hard work.
He assured residents of Damongo that the government was making frantic efforts to resolve the water crisis affecting the area.
