Sunyani, (Bono), March 18, GNA -Nana Yaa Sakyiwaa Kokor III, the Ankobeahemaa (sub queen) of the Dormaa Traditional Area has urged women to prioritize and aspire higher in education to increase their chances of occupying leadership positions.
She said women ought to develop themselves well to qualify for those leadership positions, instead of over-relying on their gender for positions.
Nana Kokor III gave the advice when speaking at a meeting of the Women Caucus of the National Association of Local Government (NALAG) in Sunyani to mark to mark 2025 International Women’s Day celebration.
It was attended by women assembly members, interest groups, political party representatives.
“We should not settle on anything that comes our way, instead we must endeavour to pursue challenging courses to occupy challenging and enviable leadership positions because education has no limit”, Nana Korkor III advised.
She also urged women to guard against excessive use of the social or new media, use the internet for productive activities and utilize their time productively, saying there were several online opportunities available for women to build and life career.
