Accra, March.20, GNA – Mr Mac Kofi Mawuli Quarshie, founder of ProjectBonolo has paid a visit to Faustina Baafi who made history at the just-ended Ashanti Regional Super Zonal competition.

The young prodigy, a native of Obogu in the Ashanti Akim Municipality dominated the competition after clinching silver and gold in the 100m dash and triple jump respectively.

Mr. Quarshie during the visit congratulated the athlete for putting up an impressive performance at the event.

He said he had been keeping an eye on Baafi’s growth for a very long time and believed she had the potential to be one of world’s best in a few years.

“Faustina is a versatile athlete with a solid track record, I must say. I remember what she did at the 2023 West Africa Junior Athletics Championship, so coming here, I knew she was on another mission to win more medals.”

He said his team would continue to check her development and offer the needed help to see her get to the top.

The founder further urged the athlete, a final year student at the Kumasi Anglican School to find a way of balancing academics with sports which would fetch her the needed results in her career.

The athlete thanked Mr. Quarshie for the kind words and promised to make them proud both in class and on the tracks.

She said her dream would be to represent Ghana at international competitions as the likes of Martha Bissah, Rose Yeboah and some other big names have done.

Faustina Baafi has written her name in the history books of GNPC Ghana’s Fastest human as one of the promising athletes ever to have taken part in the competition.

Her story comes as an inspiration to her community and beyond, hence motivating her to work harder to achieve her goal.
