Effia (WR), March 9, GNA – The Takoradi branch of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) has climaxed its Missions Week celebration with a call on members to give generously to support missions work.
The Mission Week, which was held from the beginning of the week, was characterized with a series of activities, including prayer sessions, evangelism, and fundraising campaigns.
The climax of the event saw members of the church gathered to worship, pray, and give towards missions.
A video documentary put together by the Church of Pentecost Missions Board demonstrating the work and achievements of the Board was also shown to members to encourage them to give more.
In a sermon, the Missions Leader of PIWC Takoradi, Elder Lawyer Benjamin Ackaah-Gyasi emphasized the importance of giving to support missions work.
He read from Mark 16: 15 which reads, He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
He noted that giving to missions was a biblical mandate and a key aspect of the church’s ministry.
According to him, as Christians, we are called to support the spread of the Gospel to all nations.
He said giving to missions was not just about donating money but about investing in the eternal lives of people.
The church used the occasion to raise funds to support its missions work in Ghana and beyond.
The funds raised would be used to support the church’s missionaries, as well as its community development projects.
PIWC Takoradi has been at the forefront of missions work in the Western Region, with a focus on evangelism, discipleship, and community development.
The church’s missions work has impacted the lives of many people in the region, and its members are committed to continuing the work.
