Pastor urges Ghanaians to strengthen personal relationship with God

Sunyani, (Bono), March 16, GNA – Pastor Dennis Sasu, the District Pastor of the Sunyani East Industrial District of the Church of Pentecost, has urged Ghanaians to build and strengthen personal relationships with God for life success.

He said it was good to attend Church services or worship centers that did not guarantee life successes and protection, until one builds and strengthens personal relationships with God. Delivering a sermon at a service of the Church in Sunyani, Pastor Sasu said, “Jesus Christ is the true-life giver, and we must endeavour to deepen our relationship with Him in building life successes”.

He highlighted the essence of the Christian faith, saying “coming to church is important, however, it is not the destination. To truly experience the fullness of life, we must have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ who offers us life in abundance”.

Pastor Sasu’s sermon resonated deeply with the congregation, and the church community, prompting many to reflect on their personal faith journeys after he highlighted the distinction between religious rituals and a transformative spiritual relationship.

He reminded the congregation that “Jesus remains the way, the truth, and the life,” stressing that “it’s not enough to be present in this temple but must invite Jesus into our hearts for Him to serve as our life guide”.

Some of the congregants who shared their experiences, told the GNA that the sermon was heart-touching.

Madam Grace Mensah, one of them and a young professional said she picked inspiration from the sermon which had strengthened her faith in God.

“In fact, I have been attending church for years, but that particular sermon was so touching and inspiring,” she stated.

Elder Agyemang Debrah, the Presiding Elder for the Kings Assembly, urged those who had backslid to seek reconciliation with God and advised Christians to look beyond Christian’s rituals and connect with God.
