Dormaa-Ahenkro, March. 8, GNA – Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyemang Badu II, the Paramount Chief of Dormaa Traditional Area has given approval for the construction of a modern worship centre at his Abanpredease Palace at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region.

The Dormaa-Ahenkro Local Council of Churches (LCC) will fund the construction of the worship centre to pave the way for the Paramount Chief and his subjects to worship God.

The Reverend Seth Twum Barimah, the Chairman of the LCC disclosed this when speaking at a three-day epic crusade at Dormaa-Ahenkro on the theme “Dormaaman for Christ”, jointly organised by the LCC and the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC).

On completion, he said the worship centre would serve as a meeting point of the clergy “where we will commune and fellowship and bring the presence of God’s dominance at the palace”.

The Rev Twum, also the Head Pastor of the Dormaa-Ahenkro Christian Praise International Church (CPIC) said he had been working hard to woo investors into the area, saying the Dormaa land was endowed with gold and minerals in commercial quantities.

“Mining those minerals will create employment for the teeming unemployed youth and thereby significantly enhance the economic livelihoods of families, communities and the nation by extension”, he stated.

“Research shows that the Dormaa area is heavily and massively endowed with precious mineral deposits and we must support the government to woo investors into the area”, Rev Twum added and later led the evangelistic crusaders to pray for the nation.
