Accra, March 4, GNA – Ms Elsie Appau, the Managing Director, Acreaty Ghana Limited has called on Human Resource (HR) firms to embrace digital transformation to stay competitive.
She said the firms could leverage technology to streamline recruitment, employee management, training, and HR analytics.
Ms Appau made the call in a presentation on Digital Entrepreneurship and Innovation in HR Firms at the International Digital Workplace Summit (IDWS) held in Arusha, Tanzania.
The Summit was on the theme: “The Future of Work in the Digital Economy.”
The presentation explored how digital tools and innovation were reshaping the HR industry, enhancing efficiency, and driving business growth.
It also explored the limitations in practice and offer some solutions for the future of work.
She said digital entrepreneurship was transforming the HR industry and AI, automation, and analytics were enhancing HR efficiency, adding the future of HR was digital.
She said automating HR tasks reduced administrative burdens, AI-powered tools streamline recruitment and onboarding, and cloud-based HR solutions eliminated large infrastructure investments.
Ms Appau said remote HR services allowed scalability and digital HR platforms enabled remote hiring and virtual workforce management globally.
She said there were some digital innovations available to HR firms including an AI-driven applicant tracking systems screen resumes and shortlist candidates and centralized platforms for payroll, employee records, and performance management.
She said they could also leverage tools like Zoom and Slack to manage remote teams and a tech AI-driven surveys and wellness apps to enhance employee satisfaction.
Ms Appau said these innovation could also provide automated hiring, training, and compliance management services, while facilitating remote work strategies and hybrid workforce models.
“It will also offer HR analytics for better decision-making in talent management and ensuring labour law compliance using automated tools and blockchain technology,” she added.

She said for the future of digital HR Entrepreneurship, they would need advanced workforce planning and HR automation, data-driven employee retention and engagement strategies.
The Managing Director said they also needed to secure credential verification for job applicants, HR chatbots for streamlined HR services and enhanced virtual onboarding and collaboration tools.
She said some HR tech startups had revolutionized HR with AI-driven analytics, cloud-based platforms, and automated HR processes.
There are some challenges associated with digital entrepreneurship for HR firms managing sensitive employee data securely and being compliant with national laws and labour laws.
She said some organizations were slow to adopt HR digital transformation, while others find it difficulty in finding professionals, who could merge HR expertise with digital ininnovation.
Ms Appau said these firms could also use AI for resume screening and predictive hiring, implement scalable HR solutions for businesses of all sizes and use HR analytics to improve employee engagement and retention.
” They can use encryption and blockchain for data security and conduct training in AI, cloud computing, and digital HR platforms,” she added.
