GNAFF inaugurates seven committee members to boost farmers welfare in Oti

Dambai (O/R), March 22, GNA – The Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF) Oti Region Chapter has inaugurated a seven -member committee to spearhead the association’s activities in the region. 

 The inauguration ceremony, held in Dambai, marked a significant milestone in GNAFF’s efforts to promote farmers’ welfare and advocate for their interests in the region.  

The seven committee members, who were sworn in by Mr O’Brien Nyarko, Regional Director of Agriculture, are expected to work closely with farmers, fishermen, and other stakeholders to address the challenges facing the agricultural sector in the Oti Region.  

On behalf of the committee members, Mr. Emmanuel Akpaglo Nyameko,  the GNAFF Regional Chairman emphasized the importance of unity and collective action among farmers and fishermen.  

 He urged the committee members to work tirelessly to promote the interests of farmers and fishermen in the region, and to advocate for policies and programs that support agricultural development.  

The committee members, who were selected from various districts in the Oti Region, would bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles.  

 They included farmers, fishermen, and agricultural experts who have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the agricultural sector in the region.  

The inauguration of the GNAFF Oti Region Chapter committee members is expected to boost the association’s activities in the region, and to provide a stronger voice for farmers and fishermen in the Oti Region.  

With the committee members in place, GNAFF is well-positioned to advocate for the interests of farmers and fishermen in the Oti Region, and to work towards improving their livelihoods and well-being.
