Ho, March 28, GNA-Dr. Joel Sackey, a medical practitioner at St. Gamaliel Hospital, a private health facility at Amanhria near Accra, has advised Ghanaians to take their health issues seriously “because health is wealth.”
He urged that they should not wait until they were sick, and things got out of hand before they began to seek medical care which would be expensive and time consuming.
Dr. Sackey, who gave the advice in a telephone interview with the Ghana News Agency, stated that everybody should try to know his or her health status, by regularly checking his or her kidneys, livers, cholesterol, sugar and blood levels.
“Most people are too busy to go for medical checkups and others, because of their economic situation, cannot do so,” he said.
Dr. Sackey stated that because of this, and as part of St. Gamaliel Hospital’s corporate responsibility, they were running “a limited-time discounted health promotion” from 1st to 18th April, this year for people of all ages.
He stated that the promotion included free consultation, free laboratory tests, and free medical reports.
“There will be no queues, and it will take less than an hour to go through the process, it is stress free,” he added.
Dr. Sackey disclosed that there were mouthwatering packages for kids, young adults and the elderly during the promotion.
He urged the public to take advantage of the promotion and get updates on the status of their health.
Dr. Sackey said the hospital is located near the Greenfields Estates.
