Accra, March 09, GNA-Functional Sports League Ghana (FSLG), in collaboration with First Choice Ghana, producers of High Protein Recovery has held an Independence Day aerobathon with a call on Ghanaians to exercise regularly.
The event, which took place at the Zulka Park, Dansoman was embraced with great enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of health, fitness, and proper nutrition.
Mr. Charles Owusu Ansah, President, Functional Sports League Ghana, speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports said the aim of the event was to bring people out to celebrate the Independence Day as well as promoting a healthy living.
He said that fitness was a key part in keeping a healthy lifestyle, hence the need to champion the campaign with full support.
He further urged participants to have some hours of exercise everyday as a way of avoiding preventable diseases and thereby cut down on their medical bills.
“As a country, we are on a right path to promoting healthy living among ourselves. The reception has been good. We had over 300 people coming out to exercise which means this event has the potential of growing into something bigger and better, he said.
The President called on government and other corporate bodies to support Functional Sports League Ghana in achieving its target of promoting national pursuit of an active and positive lifestyle change through functional fitness, nutrition, and mental health.
