Enthusiasm of women in bringing up children to become responsible cannot be glossed over

Ho, Mar. 9 GNA – Reverend Elizabeth M. Y. Niboe-Wuasi, Women’s Desk Officer of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana Saturday stated that the efforts and enthusiasm of women in nurturing children to become responsible adults could not be glossed over.

“Their achievements and resilience that knows no boundaries, most especially helping their young ones to develop their full God given talents and potential is commendable,” she noted.

Rev. Niboe-Wuasi stated this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Ho on the occasion of the International Women’s Day celebration.

The day was on the theme: “Accelerate action for gender equality.”

Rev. Niboe-Wuasi said women empowerment should be intensified through skills training, education and assigning leadership roles to women, not forgetting single mothers.

“This is very important, having our first female Vice President in mind as a role model,” she noted.

She said the enviable achievement should encourage young girls to climb higher the academic ladder to remove the inferiority complex associated with women.

Rev. Niboe-Wuasi reminded women that “God made them wonderfully to perform wonderfully.”

She called for mutual respect and love among all women in spite of race, colour, political and religion affiliations.

She intimated that this year’s theme “must be our yardstick for growth and development of all women.”

The Reverend Minister prayed for God’s continuous upliftment of women in their homes and society as a whole.

She used the opportunity to salute all women who she said were toiling in their own ways to impact society positively to bring the needed development.
