Accra, March 23, GNA – President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Brigadier General Glover Ashong Annan as the Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority.
A statement signed by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, said that Brig. Gen. Annan “is expected to reset the Customs Division and support the Ghana Revenue Authority to meet its targets as we work towards fixing the economy.”
The statement described Brig. Gen. Annan as a well-respected, dedicated, principled, and patriotic Commissioned Officer of the Ghana Army, who, until his appointment, was the Presidential Security Coordinator.
The President also expressed his appreciation to the outgoing Commissioner, Brig. Gen. Zibilm Avorrogo, for his commendable service to the Customs Division and Ghana.
