Kadjebi (O/R), Feb 16, GNA – The Kadjebi District of The Church of Pentecost has organised a mass wedding for 17 couples.

The couples, who have been married between five and 32 years took their vows at The Church of Pentecost, Kadjebi Central Assembly Chapel in the Oti Region.

Reverend Samuel Ohene Abeka, the Kadjebi District Pastor of The Church of Pentecost, who blessed the couples, said marriage was not merely a social contract but a divinely ordained relationship meant for procreation, companionship, support, and a reflection of the divine love between Christ and the Church.

Rev. Abeka asked the couples to love each other whether poor or rich, sick or dead.

He charged them to raise, mould and groom their children well so that they would become responsible persons.

Rev. Abeka also advised them to provide emotional and spiritual support to each other during difficult times as the unionship was not for good things alone.

Some of the couples who spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) expressed joy and happiness as they had been waiting for it for a long time.
