Dormaa-Ahenkro (Bono), Feb. 17, GNA – An inter schools’ sports competition to unearth talents of school children has ended at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region.
In all 17 schools selected basic schools in the Dormaa Central Municipality participated in the games held at the Dormaa Senior High School Park, with children from Kindergarten to Junior high school levels featuring in the competition.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) sports at Dormaa-Ahenkro, Mr Eric Darko, the organiser of the competition said it provided an opportunity for the school children to participate in volleyball, athletics, hand ball and football competitions.
He said some of the talented school children had been picked to participate in the upcoming inter-circuit sports competition to be held at Dormaa-Ahenkro and to help build on the hidden sporting talents of the school children.
Mr Darko said the Municipality had a lot of sporting talents and called on the public to support the competition.
