Couple provides Nsawora-Edumafua community with a new nursery block

Sefwi -Nsawora(WN/R), Feb28, GNA – A Couple based in Sefwi-Wiawso has handed over an ultra -modern classroom block to the Edumafua primary B school in the Akontombra district of the Western North Region.

The facility which would accommodate nursery pupils, comes with two classrooms and master’s office, was solely funded by Mr and Mrs Ramus Kwofie.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency after the commissioning, Mr Ramus Kwofie who is also the chief executive officer of the Raycof Group of companies, said the donation was to show his family’s love for the community.

He said a need assessment was done with the community leaders and they settled on a new nursery block to improve upon teaching and learning.

He explained that the community leadership complained about the old structure, which was affecting teaching and learning in the community, hence their show of love.

Mr Kwofie advised the kids to take their studies seriously and urged the school management team to maintain the facility to last longer for generations yet unborn to also benefit from it.

He appealed to individuals and institutions within the Western North Region to support the school since the government alone could not do it.

Nana Kwaku Aduhene II,chief of Edumafua on behalf of the community, lauded the couple for the generosity, adding that this was the first time he had witnessed an individual support the community in his 34 years as chief of the area.

He appealed to indigenes of the area to emulate Mr Kwofie to help build the community together.

Mr Patrick Ahotonyo, School Improvement Support Officer, Edumafua circuit, on behalf of the Akontombra district director of education, was full of praises to the couple, noting that the facility had come at the right time to help improve upon the infrastructure deficit in the school.

He pledged the regular maintenance of the facility and that it would be used for its intended purpose.
