Accra, Feb. 17, GNA – The Black Queens have begun preparations for their upcoming international friendly against Morocco on Friday, February 21, 2025.

A total of 19 players opened camp on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Casablanca, Morocco.

Some foreign-based players also joined the camp, while Jennifer Cudjoe, Azumah Bugre, and Grace Asantewaa are expected to join the team later Monday.

The team is still awaiting the arrival of Mary Amponsah, the current leading scorer in the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, who received a late call-up to replace unfit Alice Kusi.

The Ghana Football Association planned this 10-day training tour to keep the Black Queens in shape while also allowing head coach Kim Lars Björkegren to assess and build a strong team for the Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The Black Queens will face AS FAR Club three days later as part of their training tour, after their match against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.
