Base of Single Spine Salary Structure up by 10 per cent

Accra, Feb. 20, GNA – The Government has increased the Base Pay on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) by 10 per cent across board from January 2025 to December 2025. 

The agreement was reached on 20th February, between the Government, represented by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment (MLJE), and Ministry of Finance (MoF) of the one part, and organised labour comprising workers’ unions and institutions within the Public Service of Ghana of the other part. 

A communique signed by Mr Benjamin Arthur, the Chief Executive, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, the Minister of Labour, Jobs and Employment, Mr Joshua Ansah, the Secretary-General Ghana Trades Union Congress (TUC), Dr Isaac Bampoe Addo, Chairman, FORUM, and Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Minister of Finance. 

The Communique said whereas the parties negotiating as the Public Services Joint Standing Negotiating Committee (PSJSNC) had concluded negotiations for the 2025 Single Spine Salary Structure Base Pay, it was agreed on the terms of agreement. 

The terms of agreement were that the Base Pay on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) has been increased by 10 per cent across board from January 2025 to December 2025.
