Accra, Feb. 19, GNA – The Africa Table Tennis Federation (ATTF), has appointed eight Ghanaians to serve on various committees for the development of the sport.
This appointment comes as a huge boost to the nation as it seeks to develop the game locally and beyond.
The appointees include Osmond Amuah who will serve on the Veterans Committee as chair, Eva Ampah to serve on the Technical Committee as deputy chair, Efua Oforiwaa Owusu Agyei on the Protocol Committee as secretary, and David Senyo Ahiaba on the Umpires Committee as Secretary.
The rest were, Dr. Alex Ackon on the Medical Committee as a member, Emmanuel Obiri-Minta on the Para Committee as member, Nicholas Akusah on the Media Committee as member, and Celia Baah-Danso on the Women Committee as a member.
Some of the appointees expressed gratitude to the federation and assured a diligent discharge of their duties.
Mr David Senyo Ahiaba, Accra2023 African Games assistant referee said, “I feel highly honoured and believe it is a great opportunity for me to continue serving the table tennis family on a larger scale”.
Mr Nicholas Akussah, a media personality, said he was optimistic about his call to duty and pledged to work diligently to make the nation proud.
He said, “it feels great and will be a life-changing experience for me as I will have the opportunity to interact and connect with prominent stakeholders within the fraternity.
“This will also serve as a learning platform where I can acquire all the needed tools as a media person and keep me abreast as well”.
Mr. Emmanuel Obiri-Minta, also expressed his profound gratitude for the opportunity.
He said, “I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve on the committee.”
I am excited to contribute my skills and experience to the team and work collaboratively to achieve our goals”.
