Akatsi North MP supports students with GHC172,000 in fee payments

Ave-Dakpa (V/R), Feb. 21, GNA – Mr. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, the Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, has disbursed GHC172,000 to cover the educational expenses of students from his constituency.

The funds would benefit students enrolled in Colleges of Education and Schools of Hygiene across the country, ensuring they could continue their studies without financial constraints.

This initiative, announced in a press release dated Tuesday, February 18, is part of the MP’s ongoing efforts to invest in the education of young people and support their academic growth.

“This funding covers the full tuition fees of beneficiaries for the 2024/25 academic year, reaffirming my commitment to empowering the youth through education,” Mr. Nortsu-Kotoe stated.

The MP’s office further indicated that students in Nursing Training Colleges and other tertiary institutions would also receive financial support in the next phase of disbursements.

Breakdown of Beneficiaries includes 17 students from the School of Hygiene, and 34 students from various Colleges of Education.

Mr. Nortsu-Kotoe reiterated his dedication to youth empowerment through education, emphasising that no qualified student should be denied access to higher learning due to financial difficulties.

The MP urged beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity and focus on their studies to contribute meaningfully to the development of Akatsi North and Ghana at large.
