66-year-old entrepreneur elected Western North council of state representative.

Sefwi-Wiawso (WN/), Feb.11, GNA – Mr Micheal Aidoo, a 66-year-old entrepreneur has been elected as the Western North Regional Representative to the Council of State.

Mr Aidoo, who is also the Western North Regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), polled 18 votes out of 18 ballots cast to beat Mr Nelson Ackah a 46-year-old President of the Ghana National Association of Assembly members who had zero.

Speaking to the Media after his declaration, the elected Council of State Representative promised to offer better counsel to the President in matters of national interest.

“I am a free minded person and would do just that in the best interest of the nation”.

He promised to build good relations with the President to ensure the region gets the needed development.

Col Retired Anthony Aduhene withdrew from the contest, citing his inability to meet delegates before the polls.
