Accra, Jan 30, GNA – The Appointments Committee of Parliament will continue its vetting process on Thursday, with eight ministerial nominees scheduled to appear before it.
A schedule communication issued by the Committee and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday said Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment, will lead Thursday’s session at 0800 hours.
It said he will be followed by Mr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology, at 0900 hours.
The communication cited Mr Samuel Nartey George, Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations slated for 1000 hours; Mr Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Sports and Recreation for 011:00; and Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 1230 hours.
It added that Mr Joseph Bukari Nikpe, Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Transport was scheduled for 1330 hours; Mr Issifu Seidu, Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability for 1430 hours; and Mrs Charity Gardiner, Minister-Designate for the Ahafo Region at 1530 hours.
According to the communication, the vetting process will continue on Friday, January 31, 2025, with nine additional nominees, including Mr Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, Esq, Minister-Designate for the Savannah Region; Mr Wilbert Petty Brentum, Minister-Designate for the Western North Region; and Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, Minister of State for Government Communications.
