Tamale, Jan 4, GNA – The Total Life Enhancement Centre-Ghana (TOLEC-GH), a psychology focused organisation, has feted some victims of drug abuse in the Tamale Metropolis as part of the Christmas festivities.

The victims, from the Lamanshegu Dam and the Vittin ghettos, were treated to hot meals and beverages.

Mr Peter Mintir Amadu, the Executive Director, TOLEC-GH, led a team from the organisation to visit the victims at their various locations to present the foods and drinks to them.

The gesture also formed part of the Tamale Ghettos Project, aimed at educating the youth on the implications of drug abuse as well as build their capacity for self-development.

Mr Amadu said the programme was also to show love and compassion to the victims and to reassure them of the organisation’s commitment to soliciting support to facilitate their rehabilitation.

Mr Abdulai Jabir, Leader, Lamanshegu Dam Ghetto, expressed gratitude for the gesture and appealed for the establishment of a rehabilitation centre in the area to facilitate their resuscitation and employment opportunities.
