Bodi (WN/R), Jan. 2, GNA — A send-off service has been held in honour of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr Michael Adjei Perry (Retired), the immediate past Sefwi Bodi District Police Commander in the Western North Region.
In his address, Mr Adjei thanked the chiefs and people of Sefwi Bodi, and the police officers under his command for their support during his tenure as the District Police Commander.
“I have served in the service for many years rising through the various ranks from Constable to District police commander, and it is not by strength but by the help and support of some senior police officers and the strength of God,” he said.
Mr Perry also pledged his support for his successor to continue to provide maximum security for the people.
For his part, Nana Akwasi Ofori Ababio, the Chief of Sefwi Bodi, who chaired the occasion, thanked the retired District Police Commander for his good work for the people of Sefwi Bodi and the entire District, especially during the 2024 general election.
He said: “Had it not been the good work of the DSP Michael Adjei Perry, there would have been a lot of confusion and riot during the just ended elections, so we are grateful to him for his good works.”
In attendance were the Clergy, some senior and junior police officers across the Western North Region, some senior public and civil servants, and traditional rulers, among others.
