Gomoa Fetteh (C/R), Jan. 16, GNA – Dr. Mrs. Adelaide Siaw Agyepong, Chief Executive Officer of the African Agribusiness Consortium (AAC) Limited, has underscored the importance of resilience in company leaders to drive growth.

She said that a leader’s role went beyond ensuring the survival of the business; they must also guide the company to success during challenging times.

Dr. Mrs. Siaw Agyepong shared this insight at the ongoing Jospong Leadership Conference (JLC) 2025 in Gomoa Fetteh, Central Region, on Wednesday.

The 12th edition of the conference, which brought together the company’s management and staff, focused on promoting business sustainability, fostering positive work ethics, and exploring how leadership at all levels can drive meaningful and lasting change within the organization.

The JLC 2025, on the theme: “Transformation through Leadership,” is expected to close on January 17, 2025.

Dr. Mrs. Siaw Agyepong, speaking on the topic “The Path to Resilience,” highlighted the crucial role of resilient leadership in driving business growth.

She explained that resilience is built by embracing discomfort and overcoming challenges, noting that it fosters innovation and encourages problem-solving within organizations, enabling businesses to navigate challenges more effectively.

“Resilience is not something you’re born with—it’s something you build,” she indicated.

Dr. Mrs. Siaw Agyepong also noted that resilient leaders stay focused and committed to their vision, even in the face of overwhelming obstacles.

“It is a leader who takes and implements bold reforms to bring about changes.

“Resilient leaders also demonstrate resilience rooted in purpose, stressing that “it is a continuous process,” she said.

Dr. Mrs. Siaw Agyepong referenced Jesus Christ, Nelson Mandela, Elon Musk, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as exemplary purpose-driven leaders who exhibited remarkable resilience in the face of adversity.

Encouraging the participants to cultivate resilience in their own fields, she urged them to draw strength and guidance from God.

She also shared personal stories, reflecting on the challenges she and her husband, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, faced even before their marriage.
