Accra, Jan. 07, GNA — Knutsford University College has been granted a Presidential Charter, officially becoming a full-fledged university in Ghana.

This follows the presentation of the Charter by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on December 19, 2024.

The granting of a Presidential Charter to Knutsford University College cements its status as a premier educational institution in Africa, ushering in a new era of excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education and research.

In a statement, the University expressed deep gratitude to its stakeholders, including the Government of Ghana, mentor institutions, faculty, and students, for their support in achieving the Presidential Charter.

The university has unveiled a new vision and mission to address global challenges through transformative STEAM education, innovation, and collaboration, it said.

The statement said the university’s core values—Excellence, Integrity, Inclusivity, Stewardship, Empathy, and Godliness—would guide its path as it strove to become a global leader in education and empower adaptable leaders for sustainable development.
