Keta, (V/R), Jan. 06, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) branch in Keta is set to host a watch party for the Presidential inauguration of John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday.
The event would be held at the auditorium of the Keta Nursing and Midwifery College and expected to feature a live broadcast of the inauguration proceedings on a giant screen, which is open to party members and the public.
Mr Emmanuel Kwaku Tay, the Constituency Secretary, confirmed the event to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), emphasising its significance as a moment of national unity.
“John Dramani Mahama’s win is not just for the NDC but for the entire nation, considering what we have endured over the past eight years. This inauguration represents a moment of relief for all Ghanaians, which is why we want to involve everyone,” Mr. Tay remarked.
Mr Wonder Setsoafia Deynu, the Constituency Deputy Communication Officer, led a team of branch executives on Sunday evening to prepare the venue.
He assured attendees of a serene and engaging event, adding that some party executives would be present to interact with the audience.
Members of the public expressed excitement about the event, with many stating they had hoped to attend the ceremony in Accra but were happy to participate in the local celebration.
The watch party is scheduled to begin at 0900 hours on Tuesday, at the auditorium of the Keta Nursing and Midwifery College.
