Inmates of Heart Smiles Children’s Home receive support

Akropong (Ash), Jan. 03, GNA – The Heart Smiles Children’s Home at Akropong, in the Amansie West District has received food and other essential items worth GHc 20,000.00,  

 Nii Lartey Ollehu, a former District Chief Executive for Amansie West and Mr Frederick Kwadwo Nkansah, a businessman, donated items including bags of rice, sugar, toiletries, assorted soft drinks, cooking oil, biscuits, bottled water, and an undisclosed amount of money. 

The aim is to bring comfort and happiness to the children at the orphanage during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. 

The donation, which had become an annual ritual by the two friends, demonstrated their unwavering commitment to supporting vulnerable children and giving back to the community. 

Nana Oddai Kwame Nketia III, Chief of Akropong, Nana Oddai Kwame Nketia III, attended the event to show his support and commended the noble efforts of Mr. Ollenu and Mr Yentumi. 

 His presence further emphasized the importance of community solidarity in supporting the less privileged. 

Mr Ollenu speaking at the ceremony, expressed his deep affection for children, especially those in vulnerable circumstances. 

“We have much love for children; they are so dear to us.” 

He said showing support to children was a direct expression of kindness to God. 

He encouraged other individuals and organizations to join in the effort to uplift vulnerable groups, saying kindness begets blessings.
