Accra, Jan.01, GNA – The Reverend Father Stephen Dogodzi (SVD), Parish Priest of the St Charles Lwanga Catholic Church, Abeka, has cautioned some Christians to overcome the temptations that make them exhibit terrible attitudes that sometimes lead to their destruction.

He said such bad attitudes could emanate from how they spoke, dressed up or even related to people, saying such could even make them lose job opportunities.

Rev. Fr. Dogodzi gave the advice on the eve of the new year celebration of the church while speaking on 12 key points that could help to revive the lives of Christians in 2025.

The Parish Priest also admonished Christians and everyone to desist from waiting for a perfect job opportunity that would pay them handsomely, and give them a lucrative life before they worked.

“Grab the opportunity and work while you pray and Search for a better offer,” he added.

He also urged the public to desist from laziness and idle lives and look for decent means to earn a living.

“If you wake up to go and sit at someone’s saloon to cross your legs and gossip, you will go hungry. If you wake up to go sit under the tree to play games without working, you will be poor. So in 2025, let’s change our ways for God to bless us,” he said.

To excel in the new year, Very Fr. Dogodzi encouraged everyone to only listen to people who encouraged them and do away with those who discouraged them whenever they intended to take positive steps in life.

“There are also people who discourage others from helping others, with words like, ‘this woman was selling tomatoes here and her market collapsed. She also sold groundnut here and it collapsed. So forget her, anything you help her with, will collapse. Don’t be a hindrance to someone’s breakthrough,” he advised.

Fr Dogodzi asked Christians to look for Christ who passed in front of their door everytime and admit they had a need that needed address.
